Barbering Program

1100 clock hours

In our program, our future barbers receive 1100 hours of instruction, approximately 34 weeks.  The objective of this program is to provide complete training in all procedures and practices of barbering and to prepare students for the state-licensing exam. The barber program is comprised of 275 clock hours of theory and 925 physical hours totaling 1100 clock.of barber theory which students gain an understanding of sanitation, sterilization, barber history, barber laws, and shop management.

 

We provide our students with all the skills and techniques that will set them apart in their professional careers. Students will get to work on  clients and be taught the art of shaving and hair styling, from classic tapers, mohawks, pompadours, bald heads, low fades, mid fades, high fades, high-top fades, afro, flat tops, razor lineups, shampoos, classical haircuts, beard trims, shape ups, blowouts, mohawks and more. Instructors also spend a lot of time training students on how to do facial massages, hot towel shaving and preparation for Virginia State Board Exam. Upon completion, each student will have an opportunity to go over job placement and select where they would like to begin their employment.

 

KULTURE KUTS ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School Diploma (HSD) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) If you don't have an HSD or GED, KKA will administer entrance exam prior to enrolling. If you have a HSD from a foreign country, you have to submit notarized translation and copy of the original document

  2. Proof of address

  3. State Issued Identification, Driver's License, U.S. Social Security Card

  4. $500 Down Payment

 

TOTAL COST OF THE PROGRAM/TUITION PAYMENT PLAN

The total cost of the program is $5,500.

 

Kulture Kuts Academy offers students a tuition payment plan that allows students to pay while they attend school. Upon registration, students will pay a $500 tuition down payment. The remaining balance can be paid in full or in 12 monthly installments.

Day session:

Monday, Thursday & Friday   (Virtual Instruction)

Tuesday & Wednesday     6:00pm - 9:00pm       (In-Person Classroom)
